Same at our tips, wont let you take anything, or sell it at right money, they have second hand shops that sell the stuff off.

the people that run 3 local to me --have 3 auctions at night during the week mon ,weds, and fri, they must make a few quid because they`ve bought the hall --they put loads of gear through our Saturday auction.

Imagine a shop with free merchandise with no tax paid on it, and the on top being paid to take it away, and then sell it, that's one good earner ;)

My dad hoarded stuff. I remember telling him I was going to use a pile of his timber to make a new gate as his old one was rotten, he said no as the timber was to good to 'waste'. Two years later we buried him and the day after I burnt the gate and the pile of timber which had since rotten away.

You cant take the stuff with you! There is nothing worse than a box of mixed bolts, nails or screws. Trying to do a job with mixed sizes. Just bin the lot and if you want something go on ebay and get it for a few quid, and thats coming from me and i'm as tight as cramp!!!!!
