mole catcher 1
Just wondering how many of you ferreting folk still use the good old probe whilst out ferreting? I know with the advancement in locators some say there spot on, others say there a mile off. Thats not what im looking for. How many still use a probe to help compliment the use of their choosen locator? I for one find them a godsend when digging deep as its a little to easy to loose the tube by no more than an inch or two. PLEASE LETS NOT TURN THIS INTO A SLAGGING MATCH OVER CERTAIN PRODUCTS AIMED AT THE LOCATION OF FERRETS Quote Link to post

borntohunt 19
i also use a probe ( T bar) for digging to the ferrets, its always a usefull piece of kit for locating the tunnel, i have mine marked at every foot so i know approx how deep i have to dig. Quote Link to post
Ricky-N.p.p 0
i use mine in terrier work and wouldnt go digging without it ! Quote Link to post
Yokel Matt 918
I've got a small one clipped to the side of my box for when i think i'm close to breaching but just to one side. Only about 1 1/2 ft but joes the job well enough. Quote Link to post
Madcowz 0
Don't have one but would like to get one to compliment the electronic box of tricks. Not keen on slicing my ferrets in half and would prefer to use the probe to make sure I am in the right area. /Mad Quote Link to post
Hob&Jill 258
Never really found I needed one. I wouldnt mind a small one what would fit in the bag, other than that just extra gear to be carrying around. Quote Link to post
Leon 0
For ferreting or terrier work I wouldn't leave home without mine, got used to carrying it and feel lost without it even with the locators we have I use the bar for making sure before digging. Quote Link to post
