Rabbiting man 1,192
One more of my albino Jill that has taken well to my 8 week old Jill Kit that I bred. Quote Link to post
redpat1 225
I have got 5 left from a very large litter that the Jill destroyed, they are all tiny including the hobs. I have a second litter of 8 strangely from a fairly small Jill and they are looking a solid size. I wouldn't want to label the smaller ferrets micros but they are definitely going to be smaller than average as adults I would think, both parents are solid experienced workers of a reasonable stamp . ££££££££ I know! I will call them whippet ferrets.£££££££££ I have for sale one litter of whippet ferrets, extremely rare, the stuff of folklore. Come and buy one while you have the chance. £50 each or £ for two. lol In all seriousness a couple of the litter could well end up that size and one of them is a male. Pat Quote Link to post

Pat That kit is the only one that was left that my Jill destroyed the reason was, when I was on holiday my sister in law was looking after my dogs ferrets, when she came back from going out, she went to feed & water the ferrets & dogs & notice 3 of my ferrets where missing They must of messed about, with Jill & kits so she eat them . So I hope you wasn't having a dig. Quote Link to post
redpat1 225
No of course not mate, as I said the reason mine are small too is that my Jill ate at least another 7 from the litter! I was completely gutted as although its natural behaviour I was completely gutted. One of the members off of here had only one surviving kit from his litter too and he is having a few of mine free of charge to help him re-stock. My apologies if you thought I was having a dig, last thing on my mind. I was more having a laugh as it is smaller than some of the so called micro/greyhound ferrets that seem to cause arguments over their existence. Regards Pat 1 Quote Link to post

Regards Pat No probs then Pat, I took me years to breed my line of small ferrets I was gutted that someone took 3 of my ferrets when I was away, that's a big hole in my blood line. Quote Link to post

I am just trying to start my own line. I have bred solid worker to another solid worker and will breed a litter every few years with another decent line as and when I need new stock. I am gutted that I lost a massive part of the litter as it would have given me a few more options but I am not sure the Jill could cope with a litter of at least 12(I think there was 15 or 16 in total) Hope you get it all back on track.
