Please me honest about your expectations from your dogs.

There have been some interesting and heated threads :hmm: as to the nature of our dogs etc. I am interested and hopefully others are aswell to see if many of us have specialist dogs or if we expect them to be jack of all trades.

This may flat on its face with everyone expecting everything from their dog. :toast:

There is no choice for daytime mouching as well in my opinion that is pretty much a given, I'm not sure any of us would be upset if excersing our dogs in daylight they brought back game (Mind you people being people someone is bound to).

Anyways lets see how this goes. :clapping:

Me, I want mine to work over ferrets and then take some lamped rabbits (but I'm not expecting huge hauls from him).

:victory:

main job for a lurcher of mine is lamping ,not interested in the day time stuff will have them out around an earth on occasion for a bolt, but thats it.

i expect it to retreive the odd shot fox on the lamp :whistling: but its main purpose is freezer filling ..anything edible :D

I want a dog that can do everything I keep my dogs fit on the bunnys and used them for retreiving :gunsmilie: the odd fox :whistling: . The 2 I have are both bullx's hard as nail good pain threshold and stamina. The pup I have at the moment is coming on well had her out on the lamp the other night for a look with the big dog. Bringing on one off oldskool's pups at the minute, he's on the lamp and with my older bitch's they have had a fox(ireland). The bitch works with ferrets and will mark rabbits, but will scratch at a hole if a fox is at home, so hopefully the dog will come on the same. As long as they earn there keep and fill the pot i'm happy.Ill try and get a pic or two up off them.
