Outlaw Pete 2,224
Middle one's a Meadow Pipit. Skylark's most interesting to me. Because that one's obviously feeding young and I could ring them!

Outlaw Pete 2,224
Bottom one definetly a linets then pete ? Yes, Steve. Linnet. In short? Male, summer plumaged Linnet. (Confusion species would be Redpoll's. But, they have streaky backs and yellowy beaks. Linnets have brown backs and grey beaks) Think of Linnets as 'Saddle Backs', and ye won't go far wrong Meadow Pip' there too is a subtle one, from a pretty much guageless photo. Not a lot to show us size there. But, its relatively ~ to nothing much! ~ narrow breast is a guide. Then there's the lack of tone, around the top of the breast. Most of all though? Song Thrush is twice the size and has pointed, " ^ " breast markings. Meadow Pipit just has little, 'vertical' marks. Mistle Thrush just gives the impression of a bird forged out of half a breeze block. And so on......
