Super Dogs, Where's The Bitches?

There has been some stand out dogs over the coursing years, some dogs, some bitches, Lucy etc. but I can't help notice the two most talked about these days are dogs. Where's the bitches? Fly hardly gets a mention, is it bitches aren't as good as dogs? Or as I believe, there is more money to be had in stud fees from a dog than a bitch do coursing guys put more time into the dog pups? When I say coursing guys, I'm talking about the ones with kerching as a middle name. I would love to hear of some quality bitches getting a mention in this predominantly dog ruled world. I prefer dogs myself, can't be arsed with seasons etc but I don't think that's the reason why the loudest to shout own dogs

when it comes to litters always seems to be dogs left over imho, I think a lot like bitches cos they mature earlier and some say the maternal instinct makes em better killers, personally I prefer dogs cos I ate dealing with seasons, I think you just end u hearing of the stud dogs more cos lads big em up when they use em, which is natural to help sell pups that's spare, mind as we know a lot of the litters bred should not really even bother, too many done purely for the coin, theres not that many good bitches out there if lads are really honest, by rule of thumb Id say if you think you might need to advertise, then that's a clear warning not to bother lining the bitch in first place

the ought to try get a good un without using a bitch is it not the rule of thumb that the bitch puts around 60% of the genetic make up into the pups? could be wrong though

Had a crack with a top Greyhound Trainer a few years ago, he had a brood Bitch that produced open racers in every litter, to different Sires,

I don't think he would have tried it, but he reckoned he could have used any dog, and she would still produced the goods.

well the way i see it, with any working dog(gundog,terrier, pits,lurcher,coursing dog) if you want a pup your going to go to the best stud dog and the best bitch.You not going to go for a (just ok bitch) are you,because your pups are not going to be up for much, with only 1 great parent .? And might be differnt in coursing pups, but other working breeds bitch pups norm sell at a higher price than males.So to say dogs are better than bitches, well your pup only got 50% good genes then.? If i was putting good money down for a pup, it deff got have a bitch as good as dog doing there job.
