trenchfoot 4,243
My kind of curs mate. A lad could get into all kinds of trouble with dogs like that. Takes me back to the days when I never worried about looking over my shoulder! Quote Link to post

beast 1,884
really look the part those two. glad you kept the black one, was my favourite from th e puppy pictures. now dont think i'm trying to teach granny how to suck eggs, but each of those dogs will really come on best if they get an hour a day alone with just you out in the woods. youll see things from a collie bred dog you wont see from other breeds. sneaky, clever, creepy cunning kinda stuff........ Ideation 8,216
Bit of difference between a European or Eurasian wolf and the giant feckers they have over in the states though . . . . 1 Quote Link to post
trenchfoot 4,243
there is a size difference between eurasian wolves and those in the states. True hunting of a wolf in the wild using dogs, you would run a strong risk of the hunters becoming the hunted. I have little doubt that a leash of staghounds would be able to handle a wolf, but as wolves tend to run in packs, you would run a definate risk of your hunters become the hunted Quote Link to post
keepdiggin 9,561
Jai look at the size of the Russian\Siberian wolf pal Quote Link to post
beast 1,884
the SOUTHERN european races of wolf like the iberian wolf are smallish, but the NORTHERN european/asian/siberian races are just as huge as the north american ones; likewise those found further south in the americas such as mexico tend to be smaller (Bergmans law). i read somewhere that the biggest wolf ever shot was in the ukraine, 160lb i think 1 Quote Link to post
