Don't own a huntsman but I'm pretty good with daystate to be honest there not alot of problems with the huntsman . The huntsman is a light rifle some people like that some people don't there small and compact deadly accurate I have shot 5 shots 1 hole 45 yards with it and properly one of the nice rifle on the market apart from the airwolf tactical ;)

Love my huntsman !

Bad points are only people who don't own them claiming faults, I own two Daystates and have had no problems what so ever, no sticking magizines or issues with scope height !

Personally I think it's stunning. It's 30ftlb but all standard classic setup. With folk buying the Regal there may be some classics on the second hand market. I also appreciate that my stock is above average !

are they screw cut silencer

Yeah it comes with a adaptor for either the Daystate Reflex Silencer or for the Standard UNF

No real issues, just keep the barrel looked after. The .177 is pellet fussy, but once you get the one you like its so so accurate.

The .22 doesn't have any down falls in my opinion

I just picked up a new Huntsman Regal .177 a couple of days ago. I also own a TX200HC .177.

My opinion may not count as much as those who have owned their classics longer, but nontheless here goes:-

On picking up the Regal I was very surprised by by both the compact size and light weight of it. Fully scoped up with a mod fitted it was about half the weight of my TX in the same clothes, the length of it with the new carbon fibre Airstream mod was only about an inch or two longer than than the TXHC with no mod fitted.

I found the magazine a bit awkward to insert to start with but I soon got used to it. Shot count from full is stated as a usable 80 (in .177), I found it to be very close to that, and filling from a bottle is a doddle. For a non-regulated gun, shot consistency seems very consitent.

My understanding from reading reviews is that there were some problems with the classics, but not as many as the reviews extolling the virtues. In all honesty I wanted to buy a second hand classic, but as it was my first PCP, I wanted to buy the full filling kit to go with it, so ended up grabbing a new one from my local with all the bits and bobs.

I can't comment on the Daystate electronic ones having never owned one, my own opinion is that it might be nice to have but I don't see it as essential.

Just my tuppence

I can vouch for the electric side and the mechanical side as well. Had an X2 which was a horrendously accurate rifle, that got traded in for my BSA Super 10 though (we actually picked up a full rifle, bipod, scope, gunbag and filling bottle rig for £275 2 years ago). Now I have a Mark 3 in the collection, reliable, accurate, but quieter, the electric firing mechanism really is very very quiet!

People say the daystate electronics will fail if they got wet but me and 2 other friend where on a big permission and there was a lake and one of my friends said if it rain your gun will break him shooting aa s200 so he went down to the lake dunk his daystate mark 4 is

In for 15 seconds pulled it out bang bang bang and it was working as new just had a little clean so that proves they are very reliable gun just having to charge them ever 2 months so ye

I have the Huntsman Classic .177, it is a stunning rifle, especially when you can stick pellet on pellet at 25 yards. The mag can be a bit sticky at times and even with the Daystate Airstream 5 silencer it is still quite loud compared to my silenced BSA Hornet.

I've only ever use rangemasters through it, might try the new sovereign next 10 tins.
