just wondering if anyone has a good young mated laying queen bee for sale that they could post to Suffolk. if you have more than one please let me know as I may be interested in large numbers to try and get a load of nucs going asap.

keep the offers up though in case things don't go to plan or I cant find a suitable supplier. I also like to give hobby breeders a chance to offer their queens. I may accept second year queens at a lower price.

      I went check the bees at the weekend and my 4 year old daughter asked if she could come along... she wanted to see the Queen Bee. I explained that she could but that she'd have to be a really good girl and that if she promised to do as she was told she could be my smoker assistant. Bless her she was great, I got her togged up in a winter play suit (which must have been sweltering) a spare veil and some kiddies gardening gloves - she was so excited.
       
      I tested her around them by standing at the entrance and she didn't flinch when they buzzed around her to get in.
       
      She was so good I was able to do a full inspection, we didn't get to see the queen (who is unmarked) but on the way home she asked me if next time she could pretend to be the Princess bee next time!
