The Crown Estate! A few hundred years ago the Royal Family gave up the responsibility and rights of running their own finances and put HM Gov in charge. So they get a budget from the government each year, which is accumulated through our complex tax system..................... The estates they own are not part of the crown estate, these estates cost the tax payer money because they are guarded by the army alongside the estate employees so does the money that estate generates go up in a puff of smoke or is this another income.
