What Vehicle For The Dogs?

Recommended Posts

Had an astra estate.... tailgate guard (boot guard)....and it was spot on....

Mine was a 54 plate...1.6 lpg.... so good enough for the dogs....

Was very spacious and good on fuel...cheap to run etc....

Seat protectors sorted the seats out from muddy boots....

Mine went tiits up the day before i traded it in for my current motor....

An A4 estate...

If i had a motor for ME.... i would go for a small van.....such as a combi van or similar.....

Kit it out and put cages stacked up on one side....for the dogs....would be easy to do with some ply.....

A small ferret cage in the back and enough room for a sleeping bag and pillow down the other side......

BUT....i need a family motor...that accomodates the dogs too....

So an estate it is

This is what Paulus started out with

SAGA I think your find BH

I have always had vans due to work very handy for the dogs and the digging gear but the only bad thing is that vans are pullers, and last thing you want to do is get pulled with a van full of nocked u

why cages for dogs ? honest question, i never bother with a dog guard or anything in the van. non of them will come in the front unless i ask them

If i had a van just for me?....

Id put cages in...would build them out of ply with a lot of mesh.....

Reason is....id be able to go to any game fairs.....shows....camping.....and leave the back doors of the van open with the dogs still inside.... i would make them lockable and safe etc...

Ferret hutch in the back for ferreting trips....

But i dont really need a van...so ill not be getting one......

But thats what id do if it was just me  ...

Id probably do too much to it...... got an inventive mind you see

Ive got ideas for a fold down bed in a small transit type....half way up the side.... dog cages underneath that are lockable and a stove.....

Will have to leave that til im retired

Seen a few t4s done nice,

One had a dog cage mesh front with wooden walls and the roof was incorporated into a sleeping platform that folded out for owner to sleep on,

Second one had 2 seats in rear with coolbox in between then mesh bulkhead,in rear making the boot space for dogs and dirty/wet stuff.

Get anything Owain aslong has I ain't cramped up in the back with dogs I don't mind. :D

You cramped at the back???? unless Owen grew a few more feet to make up for all of 3 ft of you I would of thought you'd fit in the foot well :) Owen muka the estates are good cars get a dog rack then you laughing.

Edit to add sorry jonny although not met you I heard you got turned down for the playing the hobbit in the new film not due to looks but you didn't make the hight category........ you was to small haha
