zini 1,939
Just got back from having a great shoot today with my wife, Davy, Phil Jones and Roger at OLP HFT course. The sun was shining and the wind was a mild right to left breeze, approx 1 mildots worth at 45 yards on x 10 mag. Davy was using his .22 HW97KT, Phil his .177 AA MPR, LJ her .177 BSA Ultra SE and me my .177 HW98. Davy was on form in the zeroing area taking a 45 and 50 yard knock down standing unsupported with ease, LJ was taking 35 yard knock downs without ever missing once, and i was happy knocking down which ever target i shot at once the correct windage was applied. While Roger was happily knocking over targets on the zero range with his AA S410 like they were going out of fashion me, LJ and Phil started a friendly HFT comp. Today was just one of them days when we all were shooting well including Roger who i witnessed him smash a tiny bit of clay at 51 yards in 1 shot. He then went on to shot a 5 shot 50 yard group with just 1 tiny hole. Shows what matching the correct pellet to the barrel and a bit of skill can turn out. (well in Roger). Well to cut a long story short LJ smashed her personal best ever score gaining a very good 42, I smashed my life time best ever score with 52 with a springer and Davy did ace scoring 49 with a .22 which as you know is a lot harder to score high with as guessing the range needs to be spot on. This Davy did brilliantly. Phil scored a very nice 47 too. So all in all a great meet up. Hopefully the next time more will be able to attend. Si. Edited July 21, 2013 by zini 5 Quote Link to post
