03milesR 6
Hello all. I'm looking at getting a semi auto as a treat to myself I've looked at the 2 autos within my budget and it comes down to Armsan and Hatsan. Now before anyone tells me I can get better, please be aware that I'm after a left handed auto. And for what I feel is a unfair reason the prices of a better known make is either more expensive or unavailable to left handers. So whats your opinions? anyone got or had either? Quote Link to post
charlie caller 3,654
I have no experience of Armsan but I can tell you, DONOT BUY A HATSTAND they are a pile of junk, despite what some say about them they jam and don't cycle properly all the time, all I can say is if you can try before you buy all the better, I too am a left hooker mate, my advice is to save up and buy a used Benelli m1 or similar, you will not regret that, I have had mine from brand new and can honestly say it is the most reliable gun I have ever owned it has never jammed ONCE. 1 Quote Link to post
bullit666 5
I too am looking for an answer to this question. Armsan or Hatsan? Not hatsan or barreta. Or armsan or browning. I wanted x direct comparison against these two Turkish semis Quote Link to post

Red-Grouse 1
Never had an armsan so couldn't comment on them but I've had a hatsan for about 6 months and never had a problem, got the 3" camo model for a good price and couldn't be happier with it, hear lots of horror stories on here about them so there must be some bad ones about but I've shot thousands of rounds through mine, never go below 70mm cartridges and its only ever jammed once! A friend had a bit of bother with his jamming not long ago but he replaced the o-ring on the gas valve and its good as new. For the money I can't fault mine! Quote Link to post

I had a Hatsan for a while (left hander ) because the only ones available were Hatsan, Bennelli and Fabarm. I got rid of it for the Fabarm which has been great, it fires any cartridge and can be used with steel shot through full choke. DD Quote Link to post
