for as long as there feeding on the same ground, we shot 3 days on the trot over some peas the other year, shot over 1000 birds between 3 of us

I'm shooting more of a flight line I guess than a crop, it's just been cut grass for hay but the birds defiantly are entering the pattern, however alot of jueveniles which I am leaving to hopefully give the adults a better chance to decoy, going out on Wednesday I haven't properly shot it yet , only two times for half an hour or so over a couple of weeks because I have been so busy, only found it the other day because the mustard has grown too high and they just didnt go in to that field, so I tried the hay field and alot decoyed, I shot 4 the other day bearing in mind im quite new to this and I only have a single barrel,... But I only spent 10 cartriges, so I was quite happy, I'm hoping to go down Wednesday early doors and get a few rabbits with the air rifle then set up the decoys for about 8 or 9 and have a go.

I don't always aim to hunt pigeons, tends to be: if they show up on my permission, they're in the cross hairs.

However, if I was to hunt them specifically, how efficient is decoying?
