bobcullen79 1,495
If you aint got permission, your poaching.... Do them at night then if that's when its quiet. Quote Link to post
lurchers4life 103
As long as it ain't a nurture reserve or anything mate you should be fine I do it all the time Quote Link to post
B unit 5
Ye that's what I thought it ain't a nature reserve and I can't see why it's poaching when it's a public footpath, just thinking more on the lines of some antis out walking! Quote Link to post

If your hunting any land without permission, your poaching. Doesn't get any clearer than that bud. Im not saying don't do it, just be aware of the consequence's, especially if you got a dog with you, and an anti with a camera rocks up.. 2 Quote Link to post
pie-eater 377
As long as its not someone elses permission Id go for it. Ive got a couple of spots I hit every year. Im going to do some moonlight ferreting this season on another spot. Quote Link to post
redpat1 225
Like the other guys said, technically its poaching but I doubt anybody else has permission either. I would have a go at the quietest time carrying the lightest set up I could get away with.......literally. Enjoy it mate, good luck. Pat Quote Link to post
lurchers4life 103
Mate hunting rabbits is legal just get out early as possible people can't say nuthing mate I do it all the time Quote Link to post
B unit 5
Cheers for the replys lads, it could well be a goer! I've shot rabbits down there before and the lurchers definitely seen plenty of action down there, but with ferrets your a bit more committed ya can't just make a quick getaway haha Quote Link to post
Ideation 8,216
Far more dodgy with a gun .... Quote Link to post
Malt 379
Far more dodgy with a gun .... Probably not as dodgy as telling everybody about it on the internet! I assume you're talking about an airgun B Unit? Not being funny but carrying a loaded air gun on land you do not have written permission on is classed as armed trespass, whether there is a public footpath or not. The land a footpath is located on still belongs to somebody.. I'm not trying to come over all goody goody boy scout here or anything or telling you what you should, or shouldn't be doing, just trying to make you aware that putting everything you do on an open forum like this probably isn't a good idea unless its 100% lawful.. People have had the police at the door for things said on here in the past.. Quote Link to post
Hands of Stone 154
Best time for a spot like that is a rainy weekday, when most people (should) be in work or the weather puts em off going.... trust me, i do it loads Quote Link to post
The one 8,483
Just do it your in Yorkshire no where near my permissions Have you tried asking the landowner on each side of the path for permission ?. then you can leave your gear on permission and say the ferret was put in here and came out there 2 Quote Link to post
