I'm not the most savvy when it comes to money like these financial advisors etc, but I am reasonable sensible with the stuff. Anyway it's always struck me, the best way to invest money is in yourself.

I am starting to think that those doomsday preppers aren't so nuts after all. I think food wise more people will start to grow their own.   With the amount of people on the planet I can't see ther

yer but on a lighter note I'm going to the coast at the weekend lol.

Saw the vid the other day mil. ..thought about putting it up myself but then thought no, its doesn't fit my Islamic agenda , lol

I do believe most of it but the fact they are trying to sell something at the end of it ,worries me ....... By leaving the EU we save over £45m a day plus £60bn a year due to EU trade barriers, business regulation, waste, fraud, administration cost and the destruction of our fishing industry ...surely that would help...?

(ps copied that last part from ukip leaflet. lol)

You don't need to take it to the extremes of the doomsday preppers,but it does you no harm to have a couple of weeks worth of canned food in the house.

I was thinking that just today after I posted that, it wouldn't take that long to pile up and it could just be used and replaced every so often to keep decent shelf life. Will have to sort out a box in the garage for it.

Must also sort out a SG fca as well.

I was split over weather or not to put it up because of the sales pitch at the end, but f**k it, the points it raises are still valid.

Pointless worrying about things you have absolutely no control over IMO..

Even if you are not particularly religious, there's a lot of truth in this:

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen.
One for the atheists: :laugh:
