a trip to the lake district

Recommended Posts

last week i went camping with my dad in cumbria for a few nights.we actually camped right next to ullswater lake in patterdale.we had a few walks accompanied with bramble up some of the many hills and mountains which surrounded the spectacular countryside around there.the biggest walk we did was the 4.5miles hike up to sheffield pike which is situated at the top of one of the mountains, this took us about 2hours walking over the rocky terrain to reach the top where we sparked up our energy with a boost chocolate bar as we scanned the beautifull views looking down into the vally.I didnt spend much time out of my wellies as we were walking nearly every hour of the day excep for when we had something to eat at a couple of the food places.there wasnt many rabbits and probabley only seen about 10 in four days eventhough we walked many miles.was we just unlucky not to see them or are there numbers kept well down? we did see two badges both in the evening when we was making our way back of our walks, the second badger walked to about 25yrds away to give us enough time to get an ok pic of it.but sheep on the other hand were dotted about all over the place so it was lucky bramble is stock broken or rather terrefied of them lol .heres a few pics..
