foxy bingo 42
That pup should of not been in that situation FULL stop.. and if i ever do that to a young dog you are free to kick fook out of me till the cow's come home.. what situation is that millet behind a rabbit?, how do you know what the land is like behind the lamp, might be a big open plain just unfortunate that the bunnie ran that way. if everyone picked an chose there runs to that degree everybody else would be getting a nights catch in a season aswell, i understand your dog is a pet first but you cant expect everyone to mody coddle there dogs like that the dog was running a bunnie nothing more nothing less.......... 4 Quote Link to post

dogs-n-natives 1,182
I start my pups on shite rough land, Im not starting a dog on flat big easy going land, then going to where I hunt regular and expect that to have taught it how to run bad land. My dogs run scree, over and around cliff faces, deep heather, forestry, cut blocks, as well as the nicer fell type land, and some low land areas aswell.... I consider the low ground as no challenge at all. So not a place to start as pups learn nowt about running canny on it 1 Quote Link to post
troter58 1,711
have run my dog on hard and rough ground think it gets them thinking for there self working it out i can run mine any were he soon sorts it out every one is different with dogs and starting them dont matter as long as there filling the bag and enjoy doing it Quote Link to post
