Permission Problems

hi all i i recently purchased a bsa ultra se single shot its a very nice rifle and now need some advise on how to get permissions ive tried knocking on door and phoning round nearly all the farms i my area with no joy its either they dont allow shooting or they have too many people already its starting to do my head in a bit now ive been trying for nearly 2 months and still have nowhere to shoot any advice would be greatly appreciated

I guess you will have to try further and further afield I googled all the farms within 30 miles may help ?

Getting permissions can require a lot of perseverance & patience! Good luck with your search mate but just remember once you have one it will all be worth it

join basc and then you can tell the owners, especially golf courses, that you are insured... might turn a straight no into a yes, or maybe.. can be a waiting game, or pot luck, being in the right place at the right time!

 

what timmytree said about identifying the problem is spot on aswell, that's how I got my permission

 

make a point that its 100% free service and you want nothing in return, tell them you will be using a silent air rifle and you don't take any risks, and that the vermin are causing way more damage than you ever will. all that kind of stuff..

 

come across as sensible, responsible and professional and be polite... then its just down to lady luck

Try further afield mate i go up to two hours , its worth it for good ground

thanks for the advice i will keep trying and i have basc insurance and always make sure i get that across first im not giving up and never will thanks again for all the good advice

It's a numbers and law of averages game mate, the more you visit the more chance you have.

Get some business cards printed that way if they say no slip them a card and say "Thanks for your time here's my number in case you change your mind!"
