Buttermere..mosedale..crummock

Recommended Posts

Took the dogs out yesterday afternoon not far from home and tried to keep at a pretty low level as my knees were fecking done in..we sauntered around for just over 9 miles and didn't get home until after 8pm..was relatively stress free apart from the wee Pom going walkabouts for half an hour..ain't a clue where it went as I was having a ratch about at Scale Force which I believe is the highest waterfall in England but stand to be corrected on that?..I just sat down and had a bite to eat and a cuppa tea..like a bad smell she returned lol..we set off from Honister Pass down into Buttermere then instead of taking a left to walk Buttermere lake I took a right along Buttermere Dubs towards Mellbreak which overlooks Crummock Water and between Mellbreak & Blea Crag where Scale Force waterfall resides I took the path which leads to Mosedale..by feck it was boggy and a bloody good hike lol..I walked until Loweswater just past White Crag and returned via the shores of Crummock Water back towards Buttermere..only seen a few people all day lol..I also took my cur Don along for the day out..

Looking across Buttermere Dubs to Rannerdale Knotts,Whiteless Peak & Grasmoor all of which I trekked over one day last week..
