man o kent 269
Got a russel/patterdale dog, who has just turned 12 months. I got him with the intention of working him to rats and rabbits,as he still has a tail and only had 1 working parent, not for Charlie. Sadly the lad got hit by a car in the winter, and so I thought "that's the end of his hunting career before it even started." Now he is fixed I have started letting him off over the orchards, and the little sod has a real prey drive! follows his nose until he see a bunny, and then he is off like a brown rocket, with his back leg flying out at 90 degrees because he has some hip missing, and only then will give voice. Up until then he is silent as the night. Gotta work on the recall, but you never know, things may be looking up! 2 Quote Link to post
