I took my Beast (she's got a kick and a half to her hence her name) to the meet last weekend where I rediscovered the thrill of shooting a springer  (not shot her for years)

She's an SMK XS/Mod19.
I let some very hardened HW springer shooters have a play and they agreed she is an accurate rifle

By the end of the hour I was popping 5 shot groups less than an inch at 20 yards and slotted the .22 lead through the small holes on the multi hole reset target multiple times; so more practice needed as I used to be so much better with her.

My front sight is still somewhere in the deepest dark depths of the pond where I used to live

Sounds good mate, mines a smk xtb2-2k, its just a starter for me really and i will probably upgrade to a better one once i need regular use for it, ive bought it really to bring my pup on with and to get her retreiving the odd bunny and bird until i can take her out to lamp them herself ;) how well does silencers work on spring rifles buddy. Cheers

They work well at reducing the crack from the muzzle, witch I guess is exactly what they are supposed to do.

When your ear is up against the butt of the gun though, you will still here the sound of the action, and it's going to sound like a loud thump, so your not really going to notice a silencers effects at your end; However stand 10 yards down range and you will barely hear the gun if at all.

I've fitted my old AA Silencer (push on not screw) to my springer.
