Has anyone done the vortek o ring conversion to their tx200

If so what benefits did you find

None. I reinstalled my OEM piston seal.

AA fields in mine 1 inch 4 shot groups at 60 yards

I have bought a tin of AA Field so will do some testing with yhose snd h&n ftt 4.50

I bought a tin of those for the lgv competition ultra.

 

I have fitted the o ring conversion and used millers red rubber grease on the spring and ultimox 226 on the piston and around the o ring I fitted a delrin top hat to get tid of the big standsrd weight. so far its very smooth and very calm to shoot .

Im going to chrono it once I have put a few more through it.

There are no power washers in the rifle as yet.

I will be happy at around 10.5 fpe

AA Feild, JSB Exact or RWS Super Field all work well in mine, But AA Field are a waste of money as you throw half the tin away!

Hi Davy, I've been testing the new batch AA Fields, they are superb through mine and BDs prosports and my S200. Put half a tin of JSBs through the PS as well and they're not a match for the Fields, they were good in BDs verminator though.

As for damaged pellets, I don't know why folks are getting so many damaged ones? I rarely see a bent one and I've probably used ,000 Fields in the last 4 years. Must be some clumsy RFDs chucking the tins around.

What works in one rifle won't necessarily work in another. The new batch off AA Fields that I just received from B.A.R. shoot only average in my TX200. JSB Express and more so, Accupells are a lot more accurate. You just have to try as many as you can until you find 'the one'.

 

Didn't notice any damage to the AA's even though one of the tins had a dent on one edge (the tin I used). Very well wrapped so the dent was there when it left B.A.R. Not impressed, as they know I'm hardly going to send them back from where I live. They also refuse to deduct V.A.T. for export, claiming it's too much paperwork. Absolute BS and probably illegal as no doubt they do claim it and keep it for themselves.

My .177 TX200HC is very fussy. She will not accurately group any pellet so far tried, but AIR ARMS FIELD 4.51. With these she's absolutely superbly accurate. With AA FIELD in 4.52 or even JSB EXACT 4.51mm =the nearest similar pellet in the same headsize, she'll spit them all over the target.

 

You can pretty much forget trying the rest.

I don't want the same to happen to the tx200. I really want to like this rifle.

How come you don't like the lgv mate? I really wanted to like one but felt massively let down with the one I tried. The hw98 p!$$$ all over it I reckon.

Would you care to elaborate what was wrong with your LGV Competition Ultra? This was a rifle Wurz and I thought was going to be a world beater for spring rifle competition shooting.

 

Well, you won't be disappointed with the TX200 I'm certain, whatever pellet it happens to favour.

I found the one I tried to be ok, in that it wasn't quite as accurate as my pro sport, the trigger was kind of spongy rather than crisp, and the rifle's finish was rubbish, varnished beach stock and machine marks all the way up the action, which was covered in the most rubbish blueing this side of an smk. About the only thing that was spot on was the weight imo. I could have lived with all of the above if the lgv wasn't around 500 notes,all it's rivals are cheaper and better.

I just never got on with it.the trigger unit is crap there is no other way to describe

If you did not pull the blade straight back I mean dead straight with the tip of your finger it shot all over the place.

The stock was ok did a job but very plain .there are springs and buffers built into the stock .

The action could have been finished better the tx200 has stunning bluing the walther is ok nothing special its as if the could not be bothered polishing the steel to a mirror

I have tried 7 types of pellet through it and can't get it to group.

6 of them are 4.52 though and one 4.50.

The sfs 97kt is just so much nicer to shoot.the tx200 is not far behind on feel but I have to find the right pellet for that.

I wish I had bought the new hw95 or a 98.

Some people love the lgv competition ultra I have seen pictures of amazing groups and accuracy others rave about there lgvs its just a personal thing.
