Its_grim_up_norf 577 Posted July 14, 2013 Report Share Posted July 14, 2013 Ive not been to many further afield but the magpie cafe in whitby is real nice. caf is always heaving, have to cue to get in, but they've recently opened a takeaway chippy just underneath (you have to go up steps to get to the cafe itself) and you dont have to cue round the block to get in. If anyone is going to go off the beaten track though, best chippy in my local area i can safely say is at a place called liverton mines. its not hard to find but blink and you'll miss it. they've converted a bungalow in the middle of a row of bungalows into a chippy. gnasher16 30,062 Posted July 14, 2013 Report Share Posted July 14, 2013 Portland Bill in the East End used to be a cracker but must admit we certainly dont lead the way in fish & chips......theres a lovely one ive been to round Camborne way in Cornwall big place right across the corner of a junction someone might know the name of it......or these another nice one smack bang in the middle of Brighton Pier called Palm Springs or something like that get a beautiful bit of cod there............i think i,ll write down a few that get suggested to try out on my travels cant beat a bit of cod and chips. 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites
