back fill 23
I have started to use a horn this last 3 years only because I came into a couple of dogs that were already on it when I got them it saves alot of calling and I find it invaluable on a windy day it carrys far further than the voice (although I managed fine with out it for year's)each to there own I'd say 1 Quote Link to post

Mick C. 229
I seen one put to good use I was on holiday and we had a day out in Bungay. The mrs wanted to have a look around a shop so I opted to hang about outside. I sat on a public bench enjoying the sunshine and watching the world go by. The traffic was moving slowly through the village. I seen this white van in amongst the traffic and thought to myself they look a bonny bunch of lads. Next thing this hunting horn is poked out of the van window and this lad gives it all hes got. I never witnessed anything like it. One passer by actually jumped into the air there was shopping all over the pavement. When the mrs come out of the shop I was still laughing my ribs were hurting I laughed that much Iwill never forget that and still have a giggle about it now and again. Regarding the proper use of a horn I used to mimic the sound and the dogs seem to work with that extra drive. 1 Quote Link to post
