nans pat 2,575
Well there's no point brushing it under the carpet and ignoring it like you, you got the wrong attitude about it! what about millionaire oap`s like peter Stringfellow and others that get winter fuel allowance and all those who spend the winter in Spain and also get winter fuel allowance, plus all these rich people who get child benefit, more money is given to people who really do not needed than is lost to scammers, public money is used to buy votes. in a nutshell there is far worse corruption and wasted money in this country to worry about, a bag head blagging a car is small fry in the grand scheme of things, i would be far more worried about the pay rises the politicians are just about to reward themselfs with, whilst the rest of us mere mortals struggle daily. Iain Duncan Smith MP @IDS_MP 2h My salary is £65,000 a year. After petrol, food and housing are deducted I'm only left with £65,000 a year. I deserve a pay rise heres another Former Labour MP Denis MacShane is to charged with false accounting over parliamentary expenses. The ex-Labour minister is charged with faking receipts to the value of over £12,900 of expenses claims. one of the mps in belfast caught using a DLA car.even parking it in goverment buildings car park.cxxt didnt even resign. paulus 26
Expenses were used as a way to top up their salaries without the public noticing it every year there salary remained unchanged but the amount they could claim as expenses was put up, it would still be the same now if the papers hadn't have rumbled it, that's why so many ludicrous claims were made....Moat cleaning etc. Even today the average expense claim per year is 133,000 pound

paulus 26
It may not come as a shock that the average British MP is a 49-year-old white male who is five times more likely to have gone to a private school than the average voter. If the Smith Institute’s research is correct, more than a quarter of Conservative MPs worked in finance before the 2010 election, while nearly a fifth of Labour MPs were employed by a trade union. But some things have changed dramatically. While women are still under-represented, the number of female MPs has rocketed in recent years, and every election brings a rise in the number of non-white members. The figures for what jobs MPs were doing before they got elected tell some important stories too: the rise of the professional politician, the continuing dominance of the professions and the business world, and the dramatic decline in the number of people from the manual worker class who make it to the corridors of power. brucemyster 75
I've said it on here once and I'll say it again, come the time when they have to renew their claims the sticks, crutches and wheelchairs all come out of storage, that limp suddenly reappears and with that bad back they stoop lower than an MP!! Then comes the renewal in the post and it's like a miracle cure, 18 holes on the golf course, scuba diving in Spain and winning the dads race on sports day!! It's a joke, but if people don't have the balls to report it then who are they to moan, there is a solution dob the low lives in. I have had for the past 4 years, a hole in my stomach where I have a perforated bowl and what leeks out burns a hole from my bowl and out through my skin, had three quarters of my stomach removed, have to have a respirator at night as I stop breathing 68 times per hour and next month am having part of my bowl removed, the powers that be accepted that I require a blue badge for my disability but that's all I get, I can't work but get no benefits, tell a lie they pay £2.67 or what ever it is for my national insurance, big deal!! Yes I have worked all my life and my wife works to.
