First Cross Collie Grey Coat Problem

Recommended Posts

Hi my mate has a first cross collie grey bitch about 18 month and the coat seems very patchy and not good to look at. Is this just her second coat coming through? I can post pic from Sony expe z if some one can explain how. Thanks

What's your mate feeding the bitch on...

I had a Smooth coated Kelpie cross, she was black and tan but had a fawn undercoat! When she started to moult in warm weather, the fawn would come thru the black hairs and she would look moth-eaten for a week or two. I found the only way was to strip the dead hair out between finger and thumb as it appeared

Get her Thyroid checked out....

Years ago we had a collie that had problems with his coat. He was generally OK, but his coat was coming out in lumps and he looked awful.

Tried all sorts, change of diet, shampoos, counselling (no, actually that was me) and it turned out his thyroid wasn't working properly. Got some pills, and he was a different dog within days.
