Shadrack1860 1
Hi my mate has a first cross collie grey bitch about 18 month and the coat seems very patchy and not good to look at. Is this just her second coat coming through? I can post pic from Sony expe z if some one can explain how. Thanks Quote Link to post

Simoman 110
As has ben suggested, i'd look at what he is being fed, i'm assuming she is regularly treated for parasites? Quote Link to post

2Painless2btrue 11
I had a Smooth coated Kelpie cross, she was black and tan but had a fawn undercoat! When she started to moult in warm weather, the fawn would come thru the black hairs and she would look moth-eaten for a week or two. I found the only way was to strip the dead hair out between finger and thumb as it appeared Quote Link to post
chook1 184
Shes probably blown her coat due to the hot weather or if shes had a season, bath then strip out the dead hair - the bath first will help loosen any dead coat. 1 Quote Link to post
Matt 160
Get her Thyroid checked out.... Years ago we had a collie that had problems with his coat. He was generally OK, but his coat was coming out in lumps and he looked awful. Tried all sorts, change of diet, shampoos, counselling (no, actually that was me) and it turned out his thyroid wasn't working properly. Got some pills, and he was a different dog within days.
