Theoben Mk 2 Rapid - Valuation Help Please.

Recommended Posts

i'm considering parting company with the above, its in .177 flavour i bought it brand new about 4 ys ago.

since then its had around a 1000 pellets through, probably needs the seals doing and a service, but shooting fine for me.

the gun is wasting away in my possesion.

i'm thinking of getting a springer, which will suit my needs easily.

i know there are few lads one here that are Theoben savvy and i'd appreciate an honest opinion of what the market value of the gun would be, no scope, no bag, just the gun.

the gun is immaculate.

thanks in advance.

the response (or lack of) has surprised me to this thread, 58 views and only 2 opinions :hmm:

thanks for the input from the lads that did.

How many opinions do you want? £550 is about the market value and the two lads who did comment know their onions.

You may be lucky and try hold out for a little more or take a bid in the balls and let it go for £500.

Best of luck for whatever you let it go for

aye fair enough , the 1st reply was from a lad that is a rapid forum mod, so i guess it wasnt gonna get much more accurate than that.

million dollar question that Moxy, i've got no real 1st hand expierance of them as such, not hunted or plinked with many at all.

obviously i can read and do, the 97's popular all right, but i've noticed a fair few up for sale just lately and i've never been one to buy in to the hype.

them pro-sports look a fine piece of kit (if you get a good un out the box), and the performance has some good reviews, maybe even a tx...

havin said all that, wouldnt be aversed to a 77 or an 80, used these when i was lad over the wood with me mates, they were the bollox then and they still seem to get dood reviews now....

fkin minefield spending your dollar! lol

what would you do moxy, if you were to be in the market for springer?

i do a bit of ratting, occasional bunny bashing.

i've still got the s200 as well.

its each to there own when it comes to guns and what suits you.... now if I was looking for a springer then I would be looking for a older but clean hw77k and the money I saved on second hand I would put down on a nice service for it ... just my 2 bobs worth.

when you say older one Kanny is that because the general consensus is that the build quality was better back in the day or because i'll get the same gun but cheaper, purely because its older?

when you say older? what kind of age from and too, in terms of years?

cheers
