Deerhound X Greyhound X Collie Greyhound

Recommended Posts

On paper My bitch has 1/8 beddy in her, so not much at all, the rest is deerhound collie greyhound, although her coat looks nice it's a nightmare, it holds water like a sponge and picks up all types of foreign objects..!

On the other hand her brother has a cracking coat by the looks of it, guess my bitch threw to the beddy..

I daren't respond :icon_eek: lol  . Wasn't really having a dig at anyone in particular, just they aren't the type for me.

And the dog I spoke of was sired by one of margaret williamson's dogs, supposedly just bedlington blood?

one of my we dogs is a beddy whippet 2nd cross and the water runs of her coat and the other two are rough coated and work cover and there coats arent ant worse than other rough coated dogs ie deer hound crosses or beardie crosses

nice looking dog mate the we bit of beddy will add something the deerhound lacks as in bottle and guts imo
not all dh x are lacking in bottle the ones I have had in the past have not lacked bottle

Yeh I agree with gaffer on this bit Dave. I've seen a couple of deerhounds and deerhound x grey and they certainly didn't lack bottle.

Saw a 32" pure before the ban and he was hammering fox regular. 3 and 4 a night no trouble.

I think there's shite in all types though, especially now so much untested stock is being bred from.

Any pics of this particular mix iv heard a few people call it the ulitimate lurcher mix which produces top class allrounders.

What's your thoyggts.

Thanks jcm

They are very popular up in the North East. As well as the deer/grey x sal/grey type.

Ive got a bitch who is about 1/2 deer/grey 1/4 collie/grey 1/4 coursing type, who is decent enough for edible game
