Outlaw Pete 2,224
" Roundup " Scores Zero on the 'Poison Any Other Shit' listings. Put simply? It's like bottled water, to anything non vegetative. So, yeah; While it would knock over a good third of this place .......... Seriously; My dogs sit there while I spray it feet from them. Weeds die, days later. Dogs thrive.
Bootsha 1,306
glyphogen..................excatly the same as roundup........but way way cheaper. broad spectrum systemic herbicide, takes about 10 days for the stuff to keel over, thats cos it works from the roots up, (hence systemic) not like a contact herbicide, which has faster acting results, but not so good long term. Nik_B 3,790
Post spraying cover the area with a light proof membrane to prevent any dormant seeds from germinating. This is what I am going to do in my battle against the bind weed
sussex 5,777
Nik B ..I found the best way with that bind weed (I had tons of the shite ) roundup ,which knocks it down then I let it grow up canes & roundup again . According to gardener ,who told me the idea is to get a bit of leaf to absorb more weedkiller , it took about 10 goes to get rid of it completely .My mate made the mistake of trying to dig it up ...spread it all over the place

04fox8 168
Round Up or glyphocate from garden centres As Above, But not from a Garden Centre....They offer you a weaker concentrate....Much more expensive too. Try and get some of the 'real' stuff from a farmer, or farm supplier...Much more potent!
Bosun11 537
If its bramble or other heavy duty brush type weeds, S.B.K. is very good, though they sell it ready mixed, try to get hold of the concentrate.
reaper6 84
Any farm supplier will sell you some glypocate...easy to use and safe around animals..dont expect instant results take between 10-15 days to really take effect
