Bellman And Flint Collar Care

Recommended Posts

Just wondering what all you lot do with you're re-chargable collars with regard to the battery....do you just top it up every now and then, when you feel like its getting low, or do you leave it on to let it run flat then recharge after, is it best stored in the off season fully charged or flat?

cheers

I charge mine up when I have been out a few hours as you never know when the unexpected drop in happens, always best to have a reasonable charge left in them.

Regarding letting them go flat when the seasons over, I always collar mine up even when im out for a spot of summertime bushing so never left to go flat

I think they are lithium batteries so you can top them up and they don't get a memory.Although I think its best to run flat and recharge every so often.

I use two,I flatten one then use the other so alternate them.

If there lithium batteries, you should keep them between 20% and 80% of capacity and only give a full charge once every couple of months...Always store them at around half charge when there not in use.........

does anyone know if ye can get new case on old collar from bellman flint.

I've asked them before and they say it would cost too much to have new covers for the old collars made, moulds etc. There like rocking horse sh*t, pity cos there will be loads of lads wanting them
