Wellies ??????? What Size ?

Recommended Posts

when buying wellies, do you buy a size 1 above your own? if im a size 10 would it be sensible to buy a size 11 ? due to 2 pairs of socks, or thick socks ect ? thanks guys, atb foxtails

What laird rake said.

I got some neoprene lined ones a size above thinking I could wear extra socks for warmth. Big mistake. They ended up as sloppy and sweaty as big Angie next door.

Not good for your feet.

Just as important as size is the build and quality of the sole

£5.00 'Green Dunlop' crap will keep ye feet dry whilst ye splosh along city pavements.

One stone under ye foot and ye'll realise the cost value of a steel sole, in my experience.

Christ, do I hate going out on the land in these soft, green things?! I actually wear my slippers, now that it's dry, to walk the dogs up the track.

Just as much foot protection as the Grelops afford. Less sweat.

A common mistake to make is to buy "a size up" Although people pish posh Dunlop's they do the job and you don't throw a wobbly when after 2 days you rip them up climbing over a barbed wire fence, perhaps not the most comfortable wellies but definitely the best in the low end market, my sons lasted for a full season of beating where others failed miserably, I wear wyre valley boots, a knock off of muck boots really but half the price, they've just started to split after 7 months of hard use every day, still waterproof though due to the neoprene lining.

Hi guys I and 2 mates are looking for some permission for some rabbit hunting in cornwall but can’t find where to ask. I and my mates are all greatly skilled with air rifles from just sitting in the back of our gardens with targets roughly 50-100yards and want to move onto small game so if anyone knows of anyone in cornwall that would give us permission please let me know.

Hi, we're having a sudden rat infestation on our small holding in North Cotswolds. Wondering if there are any people around with ratting dogs who want a bit of work?
