Brewman 1,192
what utter shite tax discs on dogs, paying the government nore money in insurance, higher rates on the types of dogs???? what is going through some of your heads? don't they harm us enough with taking far too much off us anyway and lets face it they have toooooo much say over our dogs anyway. just be harder on the owner of the dogs that do these stupid attacks You're right Big G it is utter shite but we're only tossing shite round like we would in the pub. Nothing put forward by politicians will ever favour responsible dog owners it'll just be a knee jerk reaction and a couple of token seizures and prosecutions then onto harassing innocent dog owners like us. youcanthide...BANG 1,051
bracken im sure the lads on here who own them can control them, well i hope they can.round my way seems every c**t wants to own staffies,or rotties.and im not lying ive met loads, and unfortunaetly the few several times, and not one of them listens to a word there ownwers say.there either chasing after them,or trying to stop fights.the only time i let my dog off the lead is when get to where im going. sadly i have to pass these idiots from time to time. i honestly dont see how they get any enjoyment from owning a dog, that does not listen to basic commands. Im sick to the back teeth of people branding anybody who wants a staffie a chav, yes many do want these dogs for the wrong reasons but why does that mean anybody who owns one is the same as those. Dont shoot me down for this but i think many bull breeds make the best pet as they want nothing more than to please and are a pleasure to own, ive put alot of time into mine and have made a great obedient dog that would shit when i asked him too ha whereas the yorkie is good for nothing other than warming your lap. The article in effect makes out that bull breeds prey on the fluffy creatures, bollocks At least mine seems to think so My Stafford died 3 years ago, aged 14.I didn't get another simply because no other dog could match up to her.Loyal, faithful and understood every word I said to her .I'm not sentimental, but broke my heart when she died - the other dogs pined for her for days. I still miss her to this day! If you're interested, she was the daughter of the show champion Bold Bull Blackjack - she truly was man's best friend (this man at least!). Mine was bought for £50 from my dads mate in the pub ha doest make him any less loveable. At first i didnt want him my dad bought him me 7 years since. There he was standing there with this fat, wrinkly ginger blob drooling all over but it only took minutes for everybody to fall in love with him. We got the yorkie after 2 years and they hit it off straight away, the dozy twat used to lie there and let the yorkie try and breastfeed from him ha. I can remember after having the yorkie for about a week being upstairs and hearing this continuous thud of the yorkie falling down the steps trying to get up them, then the patter as the staff comes up, i look around and the yorkies head was the only thing showing out the staffs mouth, so i set of shouting at the staff when i realise he was carrying him up stairs, did this for a while until the yorkie was big enough to get up himself, even though he knows full well he isnt allowed up there Heres how small the dog was, i didnt do it by the way Edited July 9, 2013 by youcanthide...BANG
bracken boy 584
The key word in your post is YOU put time into your dog and thats what all owners should do but sadly they dont..

youcanthide...BANG 1,051
Nothing you or i can do about that, in an ideal world that would happen but we wont ever live in an ideal world so no point in worrying about it
gnasher16 30,121
Ive been saying it for years.....there should be car owner type insurance on ALL dogs.........a bull terrier would be the equivalent group 20 that a Ferrari is.....a fluffy little cake eating tv watching breed would be a group 1..........dog ownership numbers would drastically reduce, after all.....how many bad boys off the estate are going to fork out serious money to insure a dog, alternatively they could hang with their homies with a Yorkie under their arm ?...........The decisions made by societies idiots cant be controlled, but they can be influenced ! all that'd happen is you'd have a load of chavs with uninsured dogs, and us normal folk would be paying through the nose for it even though it's completely unnecessary if you're a responsible dog owner. Insurance companies fleece us enough as it is IMO. Then they get nicked and banned from owning dogs the same as folk get points/bans from driving if they dont insure their cars...............cant see why anyone would feel hard done by for insuring their dog, after all no dog is 100% trustworthy 100% of the time......so makes perfect sense to me. Whats better........giving someone a 1000 pound fine after their dog attacks someone/something........or making them pay 300 pound as an insurance premium ? You say " dont they harm us enough taking far too much off us "............nobody is forced to own a dog same as nobody is forced to own a car.............if you want these things you pay for them..........if you dont you dont its not rocket science. Blackbriar 8,569
BANG, MRS.B has you beaten in the small dog contest, I think...... The little girl in the centre is a year old, stands 6 inches to the shoulder and weighs 1.2kg, which also puts the other two into perspective! But, like I said earlier, they're treated the same as the 55kg Mastiff X they share a house with. (I've just noticed - that looks like it was taken in Bet Lynch's boudoir!!) stewie 3,387
if the little dog attacked the big dog first, doesn't that make it a problem dog???
