Stevo77 3
NZ is great for all of the above, I've done a few stints in the South Island, I worked in pest control mainly T.B control programs monitoring and eradication for possums and ferrets. Also did a bit of rabbit control at times. Managed to do a bit of deer stalking my spare time I'll post a few pics from my home computer when I get a chance. I'm sure you'll have a great time. keepdiggin 9,561
is it impossible to get a visiting visa with a criminal record?
Stevo77 3
is it impossible to get a visiting visa with a criminal record? I'd presume it depends on on the record and possibly the nationality on your passport. NZ is not as strict as Australia when it comes to visa's. Here is a link should help you out http://glossary.immigration.govt.nz/VisaFreeCountries.htm

I'm sure if only going for a holiday or hunting trip you should have no worries, if you are looking to immigrate there will be a set of criteria you have to meet but don't think NZ is that Strict details will be on the Nz govt immigration page. If you are under 31 or 35 depending on Nationality of your passport you might be able to get a working holiday visa.
deerhunter25 18
Very nice stag mate. It sounds like paradise
jphunter 0
the problem with NZ reds are that all the big ones you hunt with guides are either behind wire or bred behind wire. In a few areas there are genuinely free range deer that has stolen those genetics and gone wild but for the most part fair dinkum wild nz reds can be pretty average. I thought the Euro reds were meant to be huge anyways aren't they?
