Border Fine Arts

was just wondering if anyone collects border fine arts, I think they are mint my boss has got loads of the farming and heavy horse ones but he pays well into the hundreds for some of them. I got my first one yesterday it called running hares the detail on it is untrue. was just wondering if anyone on here has them as they are some very good hunting ones.

I don't have any, but my old man has quite a few agricultural ones. They are very good.

They had a 'fair' beside us a few years ago, where there were a few of the 'artists' set up in the centre of their display, amazing to see them at work.

Mates got a right tidy one think it's called the last slip. Two dogs running a hare it's big piece very rare and sought after.

 

Had a few and sold when I fell on hard times. Regret it now ...

My father inlaw has a big collection of roe deer and red deer ones some are massive he's paid a bob or 2 for them, we were talking about them last week he says the newer ones ain't worth as much because they ain't painted in the borders anymore its china that's painting them and its affected quality and price

sold my record collection one hard winter to proud to take up the father in laws offer of a loan , 3 days later landed a big contract painting a factory - :censored: took me years to build it back up again ..

I believe a special version of that one was made with pennine hounds as a present for AR of the pennine.

Yer right some of the new stuff aint as good my hubby has a collie thats painted to the exact markings of his first ever working collie but that was the perks of his mother working with bfa many years ago. I am needing another wall unit for all mine. if ye have a bfa that the base comes off not glued to the model its from the early ones worth a bit more
