Robo46 40
I own an air wolf I have never shot a hw 100 .i don't like the fact that when you pull back lever on hw 100 you can see all the insides .i don't think you will ever shoot a more fore giving rifle than a wolf the trigger is also amazing.wouldnt mind getting a hw100 though. Rez 4,961
Again, another post about which is best and why and really they'll both punch one hole groups and out shoot the shooter on every occasion at whatever range. Hold them, use them see how you fit each one. 100 though Edited July 18, 2014 by Rez Quote Link to post
villaman 9,983
I will say it once more ,Daystates are over priced and over rated imho , Hw100 all the way Quote Link to post
Flipper_Al 1,012
Just about to buy a HW100 Quote Link to post
Robo46 40
air wolfs trigger on it's own is worth the asking price .massive shot count .its balanced beautifully .safety is in the right place .can be set to auto safety. Each shot is consistent no power curve.the list goes .never had a problem with mag touch wood. Quote Link to post
paulk73 151
I am on my 4th hw 100 atm. currently using a kt 177. I've tried most makes over the years, including a daystate but keep coming back to the 100. I was just wondering about the pros and cons of the airwolf and or ranger if they where to be put alongside the 100 to use as a benchmark. Quote Link to post

risingfriend 1,042
Both cracking rifles .........i own both and would find it hard to choose which would go if needed, the hw100 has the better mag system and is not beaten by any other the daystate mag needs loading properly as in seating the pellet in the mag an its fine. The trigger on the airwolf is something else and is superb. accuracy wise nothing in it but then again if any pcp did not group then i would be unhappy when matched to the right pellet. Reliability wise the hw100 is generally bomb proof although i have had 3 and all power crept high. i put an a&m cylinder on my current hw100 it transforms the balance. My Airwolf has not skipped a beat in the 18 months i have owned it ,have shot it in all weathers and the electrics have been fine. charge once a month and 300 shots per fill. Now heres the thing my hw100 is sitting idol since getting the wolf but i still cant bring myself to shift it on. 2 Quote Link to post

villaman 9,983
I would be shooting the wolf all the time ,just to justify spending that sort of money 1 Quote Link to post
risingfriend 1,042
Yes mate i agree they are pricey but heres something to think about to get the hw100 to be to my liking i spent the extra cash on the cylinder also a single shot mag adds another £200 to the price so depending on where you buy one thats around the £900 to £1000 new bracket i know single shot mag is not needed but is if you compete in hft or ft etc the cylinder is also not needed but balances the rifle. not to far from a wolfs money new. Again i say to get it to my liking But then i also have spent money on the wolf to get it to my liking for targets, hamster rowen SS mag etc so swings and rounabouts. Villaman have you shot a mk4 or airwolf or is your opinion based solely on the regal as in my opinion they are worlds apart just curious mate I do agree with you on the hw100 front in that its one of the finest rifles in its price range though 1 Quote Link to post
villaman 9,983
No mate I haven't shot one , I am not a great lover of buddy bottle guns ,that's one of the reasons I got shot of the r10 and had the regal . People talk about the trigger on the wolf , really its electrical switch and not a trigger as such . I don't like the idea of charging the thing up and like most pcp boards they tend to pack up after so many years at the wrong time . For that reason I will not be investing in one ,as Peter Jones (Dragons Den ) would say 1 Quote Link to post
risingfriend 1,042
PMSL Duncan banadaystatetyne eh the trigger is not as you would think still has the 2 stage feel and is sweet if you dont like buddy bottles then there is the mk4is same action just cylinder instead and charging is simples mate to be honest mine never drops below 70% but charge once a month over night to keep battery life up And pcp boards seem long lifed as in plenty of the cdt varient still going strong (non info screen model ) 2 Quote Link to post
villaman 9,983
I will try one ,one day ,clutching a bible so the Daystate fever doesn't get to me 2 Quote Link to post
A1WOC 212
I have no criticism to make about either rifles, although my Air Wolf is by far is the more contemporary rifle. It’s a shame Daystate didn’t live up to my expectations when it went in for service a month or two ago, it took five long weeks turnaround. Regards, Steve. 1 Quote Link to post
