secretagentmole 1,701
Mary has decided to get back into shooting a bit more and wanted to have a 10 metre target range set up in the back garden. Thing is you need a target pistol so when a couple came up at the local auction we decided to have a punt. She got a Gamo Compact, with anatomical left handed walnut grip. This little Spanish demon has a 2 stage trigger that looks decidedly familiar to anyone with a BSA Super 10 (blade on post job). It is a single stroke pneumatic, which is loaded directly in the barrel (ie no probe). Cocking is done by pressing a release catch in what would be the hammer area if it was a powder burner! I got a Daisy Powerline 747, mine has an anatomical right handed grip, in walnut, with what appears to be a bone rose inlaid halfway up the flat side of the grip (darned unusual). The Daisy has a supposed 2 stage trigger, just feels like a single stage with long travel to me though. Weird plastic bolt release, that has to be pulled back before the pistol is cocked by the side lever. Accurate gun though. Also got an HW90, in .22, with 2 stage silencer, makes for a long gun so you can either shoot the rabbits or pocket them down the burrows with a passing hedgehog! Quote Link to post

paulk73 151
i had a full length 90 with a silencer on it. it was mental long. sometimes had to toss a coin to decide whether to shoot the rabbits, or just joust them. Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
As requested some photos, first of the pistols, mine is unimaginatively called Daisy, well it is stamped on the darned gun! The terrible twins! The unusual white rose inset! Anatomical right hand grip - Mole Pistole! Anatomical left hand grip - Mary Pistole! Von Smallhausen! 4 ft 3in of power!
