sounder 9
well lads went out for a walk today with shadow my new lurcher,he just getting used to me and me to him. i walk him along side some sheep to see what way he was,as they moved off he took no notice to them.they said he was ok with sheep but i like to be sure myself.[i LIKE MUTTON BUT I NEVER EAT A WHOLE ONE!!!! ]i went into the next field and there about 30 yards out i see the flick of 2 ears A HARE....a good field ....a slip...my heart raceing i moved in up with the hare and shadow.he covered the hare in seconds with two turns shadow still up is hole.i was talking to myself ,ok he far fast, good on the turn, and so on.he turned him 4 to5 more times and the hare made the wall into the field where i came from next thing that went through my head...THE SHEEP... i ran to the wall, the sheep stood up just looking at shadow still on the hare with about another 4 to 5 turns shadow was strikeing well with another try,and lifted the hare, and strolled up past the sheep that was still standing, up with the hare to me.i got a shock that shadow lifted the hare, and a bigger one that the sheep stood for that long with a dog flat out at the other side of the field.they must be used to dog or something like that.shadow made a name for himself in my eyes as he breed for fox.i was very happy with him.looking forward for this season. all the best sounder Edited August 20, 2007 by sounder Quote Link to post
