mackay 3,364
This lad can gallop a bit.... Alaunt x 3/4 grey 1/4 bull...... rsz_pict0260 (1).jpg I'd have one purely because its a healthy, fit mastiff. But could someone answer what they do better than a big bull x? I'm genuinely interested,I've never even seen one let alone seen one work. I had mine from Plummers first mating purely because it was a healthy fit mastiff, what do they do better than a big bull cross?, not much I wouldn't think. Don't know why everyones getting in a tizzy, they're similar types at the end of the day, just personal preference. Borderscot, that's a lovely animal. 1 Quote Link to post

Thanks mate - yeah he's a nice big dog.....I agree that it's personal preference. Don't think I have ever read any posts stating that an alaunt will do x,y or z better than a bull x - but every time an alaunt thread crops up you get the usual 'blah de blah de f***ing blah f**k all better to do' merchants with their 'no better than a bull x' shite jumping on it.....and then they'll admit they ain't seen one at the graft....more well informed based on experience crap dressed up as 'just my opinion'...... 1 Quote Link to post

NickF 50
As I understand it back in the dark old days the mastiff crosses were for ripping people apart in battles and the greyhound crosses on game...? Magnificent dogs, Id love one 1 Quote Link to post
