Hello. I would like to start to get into shooting and hunting but not sure where to go about licenses and prices can someone help please ?

Hello and welcome mate , go to your local cop shop and ask for a shotgun certificate application and they will run there it with you

It's either £50 or £55 I can't remember but do it sooner rather than later because they are trying to hike the price ALOT!

You don't need a licence for an air rifle so long as its below the legal power limit of 12ftlbs which are the only ones a gun shop will sell you anyway without an fire arms certificate what kind of shooting are looking at getting in to bud?

hey mate i only now just recieved my shotgun license its pretty simple i sent of for it around 2 months ago and now its finally sorted.

 

phone or call in to a local police station and ask for shotgun forms they will prob give you a number for fire arms depo and the will post forms out.

 

then fill your forms out make sure u put everything correct or they will pick up on that and send your forms back with a check of £50 then you just got to wait for a phone call.

 

when they phone chances are they will wanna book an appointment to come to your address for a few questions and to see what yor like basicly (make sure your not a nut) and check your gun cabinet thats if your storing a gun at your address because you dont need a cabinet to have a shotgun license because your aloud to borrow a shotgun.

 

then thats about it they will let you know then if your granted a license or not.
