albert64 1,882 Posted July 7, 2013 Report Share Posted July 7, 2013 had it on a range rover, I flushed everything out still the same in the end I took the rad out and took the top and bottom off the rad leaving just the middle and the vanes were blocked, got an hacksaw blade and cleared the shite out, it took ages but worked perfectly afterwards Quote Link to post Share on other sites

dog gone 21 Posted July 9, 2013 Author Report Share Posted July 9, 2013 had a mechanic friend have a look on sunday reckons it could be oil pump think he said. doesnt seem to be any water on dipstick goin to get it pressure tested and go from there. mileage around 16900. I know your saying about gunk in the expansion tank but check the fan is working, unclip the block from the sensor located in the water pipe then turn on the ignition, the fan should start, if not check the wire to the fan.
