Maximus Ferret 2,063
if i am on me own i never use a slip, both dogs are sound with or without Mine works either way too. Working without a slip they sometimes seem to see or hear a rabbit before the light's switched on. Edited July 5, 2013 by Maximus Ferret Quote Link to post

trigger2 3,137
i never run my dogs from a slip always off. imo it saves alot of time and fecking about putting a dog back on the lead, also a good lamp dog should be able to work the beam. from anywhere in the field when it has missed its rabbit it should be able to go to straight back to the end of the beem if you happen to put it onto another rabbit anywhere in the field. 3 Quote Link to post

All mine when out one own have a good portion off slip to keep them sharp 1 Quote Link to post

Giro 2,648
I work them off the slip if I am solo.. Its nee hardship having a dog on the lead for me tho .. Handy to have if you fill your rusk sack least you can start legging them.. I always have to take a spare lead in a pocket.. I have lost loads of leads I don't like tying them around wrist but my pal dose and he never looses them Quote Link to post
