I like another forum( not hunting related) and anyone that sends dodgy personnel messages gets booted real quick .... The way it should be ...this site has to many tossers on it for it,s own good .....if you do not agree with someone what gives you the right to start sending abusive messages .....mind you I have a warning point for a spelling mistake from about five years ago from a long since removed mod who decided to take on text talkers ......at least I think that is what my warning point was for

He's been banned 'cause he is/was one of the most obnoxious little pricks I've ever seen...if he didn't like what you said or he didn't agree he became abusive...and this wasn't a one off...it was regular...tell you what...there's loads of others too...pricks ruining this forum...perhaps not on this thread but plenty others....

I got warn point for me spelling 2 I think now, can't help being dyslexic and can't help traveling when young to miss school. I see there point trying to keep the forum readable but for guy like me it coming to point not post then to post as I will be banned. Hopefully Matt will this time help with my post

He did say last time he was Gona edit but I got anuver 3 day bann then cume back with points.

He said he will try edit them for me this time so move in ritte direction I try find spel check but tbh this forum is only thing I use comps for so Im limit on ability. I try ask around see if can get it sorted. Edit add that sumtimes my speling cumes up as txt talk lol

Text talk is banned on the forum, and the rules are very clear.

 

I've every sympathy with anyone suffering from dyslexia, and as Paul says, I'm happy to help when I can.... BUT........ posting 'u' instead of 'you, and 'ur' instead of 'you are' (the list goes on) is not due to dyslexia.

 

I've just outlined my normal text talk policy to someone in a PM, but I'll repeat it here.

 

If I happen to see some text talk, the first thing I do is have a look at the history of that poster. If it's an occasional thing then I send them a PM and remind them of the forum rules. Most folks take it on the chin and try a bit harder not to do it in future, but some, (no names) send me an abusive PM back which usually contains yet more of the dreaded text talk.

 

If a member does that, or has lots of text talk in their history, then I usually dish out one warning point. After that it's up to them; either stick to the rules, or get more warning points.

 

I like to think I'm fair, but the rules are the rules and we can't make too many exceptions.

I never one time abuse or insult in my pm to you. And I cume in the catergry of more txt talk back in pm s but when I cant spel the word and It cumes up txt talk I cant help that. I think with txt talk cuming up instead of the poor speling it look worst for poster. And it can look like poster not trying Im trying hard just find nearly discrimtive to guy like us. Im trying it all I can do. And hope a perm bann dont cume

i am completely dyslexic , however my laptop underlines in red (normally every other word) the things it deems to be incorrect, then its a right click and it shows me a list of suggested options, left click the correct option and bingo i am all mills and boon

thats the bit thats open to interpretation though and you'll have to make that call as a mod, i'm basing my opinion on the way the poster has been writing above, if it were my decision i wouldnt warn / ban for that kind of writing, but , its not my call.......

yeah matt rules are rules and i wouldn't thank you for a mod job, your doin fair job of geeting rid of some right obnoxious fookers and i hope it continues, but i personally couldn't bring myself to warn someone who is genuinely trying.
