Outlaw Pete 2,224
I'm guessing that's the new, multicultural way of referring to a beauty like this? Got him in my Potter Trap, this morning. That's, basically, a cage trap with a drop down door. Pretty surprising that he wasn't already ringed, to be honest. Nice little bonus for me though. I got to add him to my hit list, look. I suspect this could be the boy I've been watching out on the track. With the evening tends to come a bit of drizzle. Then he appears. Grabbing up all the insects disturbed and moving in the grass at the side of the track. He has a family to feed, somewhere. Well, he's back with them now. None the worse for having his wing and weight measured. I expect, when we meet again, he'll weigh a bit more than todays 84.5 grams. Running himself ragged, feeding that brood, see?
