Chid 6,489
I've got a sxs with bad pitted barrels (inside), is there anything I can do to sort it , or is there any where that repairs them . Guns not worth loads but I like it Quote Link to post
Froudy 40
You could get the barrels re sleeved but its expensive a mate had a old gun done and that was £600 Quote Link to post

SportingShooter 0
Depends how bad the pitting in but some people have the barrels "lapped out" which involves cutting a few thousandths of an inch out of the barrel all the way down so it's level with the lowest point of the pitting. It depends on how much metal is left in the barrel in the first place though. Quote Link to post
rtaylor 1
I wouldn't worry about it too much. If it's not worth much then don't bother spending money on it. My o/u has a pitted bottom barrel and still shoots ok. Quote Link to post
