Bradley France 1
I took my 2 year old bitch lamping the other night to get her ready for this coming season, she do a lot last season with her previous owner did a bit with me towards the end of the season! While out lamping she run one or two rabbits fine but then she just started trotting behind them like she didn't want to know! Anyone got any ideas why? 1 Quote Link to post

Gaz_1989 9,539
I know dogs that will stalk and trot up to a sitter. My bitch does. She will trot up and pick left or right to try and persuade it into the open. But once it's running she is 100% committed. Quote Link to post
nothernlite 18,089
something wrong with her was she fed before got out could be a few different things good luck Quote Link to post
matmorgan 49
reckon Floyd 17586 is onto it.when the grass is well and truly died back at the end of season them bunnys can really motor.dog maybe a bit disheartened.obviosly this is just an observation from my computer but ive seen it plenty times.give the dog time of till next season starts then find some green bunnys with some longer grass to trip over get confidence back is my advice.good luck whatever you do Quote Link to post
troter58 1,711
dogs jacked on ya if it was doing it last season why not now short grass long grass makes no differents unless its took a knock but should still be giving it go on the rabbits for you or its no heart for the job in hand hope it turns it round for you but i think its thrown the towel in. atb 1 Quote Link to post
rob190364 2,594
2 years old? previous owner??? so someone flogged it before it was 2 (i.e. when it should be entering its prime)? doesn't take a rocket scientist to work that one out pal! If it was me, I'd not show it any game whatsoever until Sept and just spend the next couple of months making sure it's fitness is bang on, then see how it goes in Sept. 1 Quote Link to post
paulsmithy83 567
As troter said I think it thrown in muka no dog shud just let em trot away. If not injury then that wud be me and him done. If your keepin it loads time of wait till the wetest darkest nite u can get and then take him out. Dnt run it in places [BANNED TEXT] no fences or just hedges find sum sheep field with sheep fencin. Make it as easy for dog as can. Run 1s [BANNED TEXT] out in the field nun by fence ,But hate to say it once mutt think it can do that it will again. Id say it did it to owner before hence sale Quote Link to post
