daytime is boring and you have to walk to far to get stuff. when lamping you see more and get more much better adrenaline rush.

I like both, but your right about the adrenaline rush. I certainly wouldnt get enough sport without what lamping to give, nor would my dogs, but, its up to the person, if its not in them, maybe best sticking to one for the pot

lamping is productive and good sport but on the right land i wouldnt call daytime hunting boring.also if your having to walk too far to get a run it just means your on the wrong land regardless of what your after.for example where i get to run my dogs on rabbits would be useless if fox or hare (pre ban)was your intended quarry.

i think doxhope is bang on,it dosent matter which you prefer you go out as often as you can.i dont have much permission and rely on invites to get good hunting so i take what i can get whatever the land, weather etc.....day or night.

I'm with Phil on this one. I'd much rather see a lurcher use all it's senses in order to catch it's quarry. There's just something special about watching a dog wheel round on a hot line or rustle in the hedge bottem, it's ears up tail waggin'. That quick burst of speed and a clean take really does flick my switch.

I do lamp however and enjoy it immensely. It's all action and it certainly appeals to the rebel in me.
