Frann 882
Toulon and Marseille have decided to take each other on in a battle-of-the-sports pre-season friendly. Which might just mean that Joey Barton could find himself in a line-up against 15 angry men... The rugby club and the football team will clash on July 17 at Toulon's Stade Mayol stadium. There will be a half of rugby, a half of football - although quite how an overall winner will be established is a bit less clear. As for the referees, who else would be appropriate than Manchester United legend Eric Cantona, and former France rugby head coach Marc Lievremont? The match, billed as 'Le choc' (The Shock) is being staged for a good cause, with ticket sales supporting families with children battling cancer. Should be interesting! WoodsmanJim 160
If the rugby half is first there won't be any footy players left standing to play the second half!
Lab 10,979
f**k playing in that. If you make it through the first half by managing to avoid some 20 stone lump of muscle from snapping your leg you get the second half to stop the big c**t running over the top of you. Nope..... Think I'd be injured in warm up.... Lol

johnny boy68 11,726
We used to play our village football team every boxing day, rugby one year football the next. When we played rugby the forwards had to go in the backs and vice versa, the football team were that shite we'd beat them.
Malt 379
Going to be a few Marseille players missing from pre season training after that!
Blackbriar 8,569
It's been said that football is a gentlemen's game played by hooligans, whereas rugby is a hooligan's game played by gentlemen !
