Dubba 72
This is only my opinion and how I try to treat my dogs. 1) get out with someone that knows what there doing and learn from them. 2) you've already bi passed 1 so basic training is next with recall being being the most important. 3) stock breaking. Make sure your dog is 100% with all livestock and while its a pup try to break it to cats. Believe me there's nothing worse than having a friendly chat with a farmer and have your dog retrieve his beloved Tiddles, never goes down well. 4) TAKE IT SLOW don't expect to much to soon from your dog the natural things will happen with time. 5) return to point 1 6) get about the game fairs abit and learn to to tell the difference between the c**ts and the experienced dog men, you'll meet plenty of c**ts 7) I don't mind having a mooch but if you can try to get your permission do it. RESPECT the farmers and respect the land a lot of them are struggling these days. Don't be one of these c**ts that think its there god given right to go wherever they want and do what you want. To many people are out there breaking gates, destroying crops, threatening farmers and harassing livestock just so they can get a few runs. 9) Never be afraid to ask, none of us know everything. No question is stupid if you don't know the answer As I said these are only my views and I am pissed, I'm sure some will disagree but hope it helps a bit. Keep us posted, post some picks of your pup.
